Beauty benefits
Silk is a miraculous beauty tool that has anti-age benefits, boosts hydration, and is soothing and healing for problematic skin. Sleeping on a silk pillowcase is like a beauty treatment while you sleep and can be more powerful than creams and serums. The smooth surface allows the skin to glide across the pillow, which helps to prevent side creases and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The skin rebuilds new cells at night and silk is a great assistant in this process. As silk is less absorbent than cotton, it will help your skin lock in its natural moisture. Each morning, you wake up refreshed and healthy, with firm, hydrated, and glowing skin. Silk is also ideal for people with skin conditions such as acne, eczema or even sunburn because it does not irritate the skin due to its soft, gentle, and non-toxic quality.
Whether you have straight, wavy, curly, or coily hair that is natural, blowdried, or styled, everyone can benefit from using our silk pillowcases, scarves, and scrunchies because they protect your delicate hair from tangles, maintain hair styles longer, and keep hair healthy, moisturised, and shiny. The smooth surface of silk reduces friction on your hair, which helps to prevent frizzy bedhead, tangles, split-ends and even hair loss in women, children, and especially in men. Silk also maintains hair and scalp hydration which helps to keep it hair healthy and shiny. Sleeping on silk and using silk hair accessories save time the morning and make your blowouts and hairstyles last longer.
Did you know that we spend one-third of our life sleeping, yet most of us still sleep on cotton pillowcases, whose rough surface rubs our delicate skin and hair, causing damage and dehydration? The choice of pillowcase has a big impact on our beauty. Our unique silk collection is hypoallergenic, resistant to dust mites, soft, smooth and less absorbent than cotton. The delicate structure of silk stimulates skin sensory points and adapts to temperature for a better nights sleep.
Silk is a natural temperature regulator and the ultimate luxury experience. At first cool to the touch, silk immediately adapts to the temperature of your body and is never too cold or too hot. It has a smooth, soft and gentle feeling on your face, hair and body, and is relaxing and comforting. Silk is known for it's smoothness ("silky-smooth") and lightness. Cotton, while also quite light, is significantly coarser than silk in terms of surface smoothness, which is why sleeping on cotton tends to create wrinkles, redness, irritation, and damaged frizzy hair. Sleeping on silk bedding and wearing silk clothing is a massage for the senses, and feels like being immersed in clouds.
Silk pillowcase is a beauty tool to help you wake up more beautiful and relaxed every morning. Sleeping on silk is good for all skin and hair types and for anyone who wants their face to look refreshed, healthy and glowing and their hair beautiful, smooth and tangle-free. For those with especially sensitive, delicate or problematic skin and fragile, thinning or frizzy hair, a silk pillowcase can make an even bigger difference. Silk is also a solution for those who have difficulty sleeping because it is calming to the nervous system and stimulates many sensory points of your skin thereby reducing stress and raising your energy level.
Laundry care
Silk is natural and delicate fabric, so we recommend hand washing our silk pillowcases, clothing, scarves, eye masks and scrunchies in cold water with a pH neutral liquid detergent designed for silk. Immerse the item for just a few minutes in cold, soapy water. Do not wring or twist the fabric. Remove stains by gently massaging liquid detergent directly on the spot. Rinse first in cold water. For the second rinse, add a spoonful of distilled white vinegar to one litre of water to remove alkaline residues and keep the sheen. Finally, rinse again in cold water. To dry, spread the item out on a towel and reshape. Roll up the towel to absorb excess moisture. Dry flat or hang to dry, avoiding direct sunlight.
Because our silk pillowcases and sheets are of the highest quality, they are also machine washable. First, remove stains by gently massaging liquid detergent directly on the spot. Then, turn your pillowcase inside out and and place it in a protective laundry bag before placing it in the washing machine along with the sheets. Use a liquid pH neutral detergent designed for silk and avoid powder detergents, bleach, enzymes, and brighteners. Set your washing machine to the delicate and gentle cycle, with water temperature at or below 30 degrees celsius. Dry flat or hang to dry, avoiding direct sunlight. Do not tumble dry. Because silk is a natural fibre, it does wrinkle slightly. All of our products may be ironed while still damp using an iron on a low temperature setting appropriate for silk. You can also iron through a damp cotton cloth or use the steam setting. The eye mask may be ironed while still damp, but be careful to avoid applying pressure while ironing, as this will compress the silk stuffing.
